World Mission At St Patrick's

“For this is what the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth’” - Acts 13.47

Mission Gift Day 2022

The Gift Day for Mission is a tremendous opportunity to be the answer to our mission partners prayer that the Lord would supply their needs, especially at this continued time of uncertainty.

Our Mission Partners

We support a number of individuals and mission agencies working round the world to spread the gospel and help people suffering disadvantage or persecution.  Our mission partners include:

  • Open Doors, which supports persecuted Christians;
  • Sutton Schoolswork, which delivers lessons and workshops in local schools from a Christian perspective;
  • A couple working to develop and encourage Business as Mission worldwide;
  • Individuals working respectively in universities in Portugal, and community work in Bolivia; and
  • A church in Romania (ProDeo Church) to which we send a team every year to help with a camp for young people.
Several of our mission partners grew up at St Patrick’s.  We consider it a blessing and a privilege to have these links, and an important part of our support is to pray for them regularly.  There is a monthly prayer meeting for our mission partners, and they are regularly prayed for at our morning services.

The financial support we as a church give to our mission partners comes from tithing the unrestricted giving we receive each year, and from donations made by members of the congregation at our annual Gift Day for Mission.
